Quizzes for IT&C 327

GENERAL:

All quizzes are worth 10 points. All are timed for 5 minutes. Quizzes 1, 2 and 5 are closed-book; the remainder are all open-book.

Quiz 1 (closed-book)

51 answers, each worth 1 point; the total will then be scaled to 10 points.

First 8 points: give the values of the following resistors, in proper engineering notation. You are then given 4 colors, from which you must derive the resistor value. There are 2 of these, 4 points each.

Next 8 points: give the color code for 2 resistor values, 4 points each.

Next 20 points: fill in the blanks for a table of scientific prefixes from 10-15 up  to 1015.

Next 15 points: fill in the blanks for a table of electronic terms including voltage, current, resistance, power and frequency.

Quiz 2 (closed-book)

Give all 3 forms of the Ohm’s Law equation. (3 points)

Give 3 forms of the power equation. (3 points)

Find Rtotal for 3 resistors in series (4 points)
